We have docked at Sturgeon Bay Marine Center. The general manager Jon helped us to re-provision Dawn Treader with fuel, water and a clean holding tank.

As Scott requested diesel, Jon asked where are we coming from? Scott told him. He then asked if we are going to Milwaukee and are we the guys who are posting to the blog? Scott confirmed and felt his 15 seconds of fame – we were known in Sturgeon Bay, a small town in Door County. It was cool.

They have great showers here and laundry facilities. We had to re-learn how to use them
. The shower felt wonderful!
We are staying overnight here. Tomorrow we will start the final leg of the journey of Dawn Treader.

There is a wifi hot spot so I am writing this post using the classical means – a laptop and wifi
. We will be posting more pictures soon. Stay tuned. Susie will Photoshop them and make them blog friendly… Thanks Susie for all your great contributions! You are like our fifth crew member, even though you are in L.A.!
The trip to Sturgeon Bay from Baileys Harbor was rough. Here is a snippet video (3MB) and video (7MB) you can watch. Waves were 4-6 feet, with an occasional 8. It was cool!

“Chop? … What chop?… John slept thru it.
(Mary, there is a suprise for you on John’s page.)
