Tumblr and Jaiku – Social Networking Part 8

We introduced Twitter and its Social Networking properties a few weeks ago. Today, two more flavors of very similar tool, but with more options.

jaiku_me.jpgJaiku is another public website used to post your messages and distribute them to your friends in real time. With the exception that you can connected many other sources of your creativity: RSS feeds, Flickr Photos, del.icio.us, Digg, and even Twitter. So, whenever you post anything to your blog, via the RSS connection Jaiku will be alerted about it and will post a first few words from your post. Do the same with your pictures, links, digss and anything that has RSS. Here is my Jaiku page.

my_tumblr.jpgTumblr has most of the features of Jaiku plus you can send a pix message from your camera cell phone to a special Tumblr mailbox, and the picture will be automatically posted under your feed. Now, that is cool. You can see my pictures I took with my cell phone during today’s “A Day Without Latinos” march in Milwaukee, WI on my Tumblr page. More about Tumblr features and their Social Computing aspect you can read on Pronet Advertising post.

These are 2 more examples of broadcasting your message out to the world. Just make sure your message is worth broadcasting! :)
