“Twitter: A Whole World in Your Hands”
Twitter is a “new-er comer” into the social media scene. “It is a community of friends and strangers from around the world sending updates about moments in their lives. Friends near or far can use Twitter to remain somewhat close while far away,” by sending short messages to their twitter page. The people who are a part of their group of friends, are notified by either an IM client or a cell phone. Do you want to be my twitter friend? Add me.
Here is how it works:
“You can send updates in three ways: send a text message from your mobile phone, type a message from the Twitter site, or instant message from AIM, Jabber or Gtalk.
Start by texting the word help to 40404 if you’re in the United States. For international Twitters, use +44 7781 488126. If you’re from Canada or Australia– we have different numbers .”
How can this be used?
I use twitterfeed to post my RSS feed from Think This // blog to my twitter. Every time I post to this blog my twitterfeed posts it to my twitter page. I also post some useless information to see how it works. In twitter I follow some interesting people which you can see in the twitter feed on the right column on my website. You can also see it below. Sometimes you learn interesting things about what real people are reading, doing or saying.
